The program develops the capabilities of students to lead the internationalisation of Africa-based firms. It helps students to understand the different business environments and prepares them to develop strategies for international expansion. The core content of the program include the international business environment, managing the internationalisation process, export development process, international human resource management, international marketing and internationalisation of innovations. A special emphasis is placed on the opportunities that the Africa Free Trade Area (AfCTA) provide for international business in Africa.
